Oil on canvas

I don't know what creature lived in this pupa or if it exists at all, but I have seen it and now to me it is real... I visited Greece in the summer of 2023. As I was walking along the sultry shores listening to the cicadas, I noticed this interesting pupa on the olive trees. It mesmerized me, the shape, the colors, all those little dots on its surface. Nature is a mystery.
