There are dreams that we immediately know have significance the minute we wake up. This painting is about one such dream. In my dream, I fought wolves until I finally stabbed them with an ornate sword with a brutality that is far from my nature. After I was done with them, I felt sick to my stomach. Suddenly, a window appeared in front of me, from which sunlight poured into the dark room, I ran to it and jumped out. I landed at a beautiful field feeling immense peace.

They say that wolves that appear in our dreams symbolize the false people lurking around us. Defeating the wolf in our dream means that we have recognized who we can truly trust and who has shown their false face.
